COVID-19 Information

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses and COVID-19 is the newest known to humans. At Pinecone Wellness we recognize the severity of the situation around the world and have adopted certain measures to help mutually protect us.

In order to do our best to stay healthy and avoid any spread of illness, we are implementing the following measures:

  • All Pinecone Wellness practitioners will need to self-screen and assess themselves prior to treating clients. They will not work if they are feeling unwell, and they will not work within 14 days of travelling outside of Canada.

  • All clients of Pinecone Wellness will be screened and will have to fill out a COVID-19 Screening Waiver prior to each of their treatments. 

  • All clients of Pinecone Wellness will be provided a mask to wear during their visit and during their treatment. No outside masks will be permitted and we are happy to provide this to you at no added cost. Do not worry! We have a few options for adjustments during treatment to make things more comfortable for you.

  • All commonly touched items in the treatment space will be routinely sanitized and cleaned.

  • Your practitioner will wear a mask at all times while in contact with and while in treatment with you.

  • Receipts will be sent via email to you as the preferred method.

  • All appointments will now have 30 minutes in between for proper cleaning and sanitation.

  • Your treatment will remain unchanged. We look forward to continuing to provide exceptional service to you!

  • We will use a tap method whenever possible, as well as accept e-transfers for payment. All Square readers will be sanitized in between uses.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR VISIT

There are some things that you can do that will help make your next appointment run smoothly. We want to ensure that you are still getting the relaxing experience that you are all looking for!

  • We recommend that you do your best to use the washroom right before coming to your appointment. Our washroom will of course still be available, but we would like to reduce the amount of contact with commonly touched surfaces and reduce traffic in commonly used areas. The washroom will be cleaned frequently throughout the day.

If this is your first visit, please ensure that you have printed and filled out all of the forms available on the website (Health History and COVID-19 Screening Waiverprior to your appointment. If you are unable to fill out this paperwork prior to your appointment, we will have it available for you when you arrive. We will take precautions with paper and pen sanitation and handling.

  • Please ensure that you have signed your COVID-19 Screening Waiver prior to each of your appointments, on the day of your appointment. This document is available here.   • In general, we will not be taking any clients who are experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms, are not feeling well, have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, and/or have been travelling outside of Canada in the last 14 days. Due to this policy, all clients must sign this Waiver and Declaration. We reserve the right to refuse treatment to anyone if we have concerns about possible exposure to or the display of symptoms of COVID-19.

  • If you have Extended Health Benefits that you would like us to directly bill to for your treatment, we will need a copy of your benefits card. Whenever possible, please call us or email to set this up prior to your visit. This will allow you to have a quick and seamless visit. We may also verify your identity with one (1) piece of government issued ID.

  • Please bring as little as possible into the treatment space with you. Any non-essential personal belongings should be left at home or in your vehicle. Pinecone Wellness waives all liability for personal items left in your vehicle.

Payments

All of our massage therapists are registered. Our various massage and reiki therapies can be claimed subject to the details of your benefits package. Receipts are provided for all insurance providers. Some insurance providers require a doctor’s prescription on file prior to direct billing. It is the client’s responsibility to check with the insurance provider regarding the coverage and limitations of their policy. Prices do not include GST.

Accepted Payments include cash, cheque, e-transfer, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Direct Billing

If you have Extended Health Benefits that you would like us to directly bill to for your treatment, we will need a copy of your benefits card. Whenever possible, please call us or email us to set this up prior to your visit. This will allow you to have a quick and seamless visit. We may also verify your identity with one (1) piece of government issued ID. Direct Billing is available to most Insurance Companies including:

Cancellation Policy

By scheduling your appointment, you are agreeing to the following cancellation policy:

Scheduling an appointment is the reservation of time put aside specifically for you. You acknowledge a mutual understanding of the value of our time. You understand that at Pinecone Wellness 24 hours’ notice is requested to cancel or reschedule all appointments. However, if you fall ill within the 24 hour cancellation window, or show any symptoms or conditions of COVID-19, please contact us as soon as you can prior to your scheduled appointment to cancel or to reschedule. We reserve the right to refuse treatment to anyone showing symptoms of COVID-19. We will be utlilizing COVID-19 screening forms.

For your initial visit and to expedite your appointment, please download and print a copy of the health history form and complete prior to your appointment. If you aren’t able to complete this in advance, same will be provided upon arrival.
